Individuals can enroll in Zion Health and enjoy a combined bill managed through their business, organization, or association. Two Zion Health households are required to set up a combined bill. Employers can set up automatic payroll deductions and pay optional contributions towards their employees’ Zion Health memberships.
HOW ZION HEALTH WORKS
When a member of Zion Health has a medical need, they are first responsible for paying their Initial Unshareable Amount (IUA). The IUA is the personal responsibility of the member for their medical needs. All qualified medical expenses after the IUA is met are shareable with the Zion Health community. Zion Health has three simple responsibility options, so you can choose a plan that fits your budget.
INITIAL UNSHAREABLE AMOUNTS
NO LIFETIME LIMITS
All qualified medical expenses after IUA is met are shareable with the Zion Health community at 100% without an annual or lifetime limit. Members pay a maximum of 3 IUAs per 12-month period.
CALCULATED PER NEED
A member’s IUA is calculated per medical need, meaning members only pay 1 IUA for each need. Members do not pay another IUA for the same need unless they are symptom free for a 12-month period.
Members generally save by having an IUA compared to an insurance deductible or annual unshared amount when a large medical need arises.
